The unstable scaffolding snafu that led to a multi-week shutdown of Orange Avenue through downtown Orlando has finally been resolved.

We told you HERE on August 13, that the collapse of unstable scaffolding set up at the corner of Orange Avenue and Church Street, resulted in the shutdown of the entire intersection, the evacuation of nearby buildings, and the temporary closure of a number of adjacent businesses, including Kres Chophouse, HighT and Chhillers, 1-Up Orlando, and Solita Tacos and Margaritas.

The contractor, Balfour Beatty, has finally succeeded in removing almost all of the wonky scaffolding from the streets and sidewalks and the businesses reopened to the public late Monday evening.

Solitas Tacos and Margaritas is the only business still closed due to its location at the center of the mishap.
